Jean Smith will give a short talk at Noon on Quaker projects in Kenya.
After a professional life in healthcare, higher education, public health and law, Jean Smith, RN, JD, MHA decided in 2007 to settle in Kenya to work with HIV/AIDS issues. As there was no social net for widows and orphans, Ms. Smith focused her work on empowering widows and helping them to earn an income (the Kuwesa Project) needed to buy their medicine. She will also discuss current issues in the Horn of Africa.
Quaker worship is at 10:30am
All are welcome
