Embracing the Interfaith Community
Sunday, 9/29/2013
Hosted by
Patapsco Friends Meeting
Hebron House
2331 Calvin Circle, Ellicott City, Maryland
Patapsco Friends Meeting (PFM) is exploring ways to interact and work with people of other faiths. PFM is a founding member of “People Acting Together in Howard”(PATH), an interfaith network that has worked to secure improvements in Aging in Place, Environmental Jobs, Healthcare, and Affordable Housing.
Recently PFM began an interfaith listening project that involves inviting people in several different congregations to listen together to the deep basis of each other’s faith. We will share lessons learned so far. Gary Gillespie of Homewood Meeting will also talk about his work as Executive Director of the Central Maryland Ecumenical Council.
We will finish with worship sharing on the query: How are we enriched by deep sharing with members of other faiths?
